On-Line Live Interactive Classroom Training for the:
Washington Pilot Escort Driver & Flagging Certification Program

START TIME OF COURSE IS 6:00 A.M. PST – CHECK YOUR TIME ZONE AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY 

Overview:
This online interactive live classroom training program will include discussions and address topics about Washington’s rules and regulations,  which are required to obtain the Washington Pilot Escort Driver and Flagging Certification. This course will have 5 test sections broken up throughout the training course. This program will take approximately 9 hours to complete. The course will promptly begin at 6:00 A.M. PST (Pacific Standard Time – Washington State Time) and should be completed at approximately 4:00 P.M. MST. An attendee must attend the entire course to obtain the Washington Pilot Escort Driver and Flagging Certification. A participant will need a computer with speakers and a webcam or use of two devices such as a smartphone and tablet; your camera must be on during the entire presentation and testing. The attendee will need an internet connection capable of streaming live video.  If a participant does not have a device that meets these requirements, they will NOT be allowed to attend this program. To use a smartphone or tablet you will need to download the “Zoom” app from the app store. Each attendee will need their own device, sharing a computer, smart phone or tablet will NOT be allowed. The required examinations will be conducted on-line as part of this interactive classroom, because of this, each attendee MUST have their own device. The instructor of the program must be able to see and speak to each participant that is attending this program utilizing a webcam and microphone – there are no exceptions.  Certification is valid for a term of three years and can be renewed online for a three year period. (Training and fees will apply.) This course will be completed online in 1 day with a 45 minute lunch.
NOTE: If you are not familiar with using a computer/smart device, it is advised to have someone who can help you on the day of training to assist you. Do not try to take this course while driving or riding as a passenger in a vehicle. Additionally, this is a live class and other attendees will be able to see you, as well as the Instructor – please dress accordingly. 

Registration Process:
Complete the on-line registration and payment prior to a scheduled session. When this is received by USPilotCar – study materials will be mailed out – these are required for you to have and use during this program. (You must have these books prior to the online course). When registering – make sure the address you submit is a correct mailing address- if we have to resend books or certification cards, applicable fees will apply.

Required Documents to be Submitted: (These items must be submitted PRIOR To the certification being issued. These can be sent before or up to 30 days after the training.)
-Signature form that will be included in your study materials. This must be filled out and submitted to our office.
-Passport type photo. These photos can be obtained by going to the U.S. Post Office, Walmart, Walgreens or other places that provide this service. If you prefer to take the photo yourself it must be from the shoulders up with plain background.
-Current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the Driver’s License Division. Must be no older than 30 days from the date our office receives it, and for the last 3 year period. USPilotCar can obtain the record for you, this will be a higher fee than if you obtain it directly from the State yourself. To have USPilotCar.com obtain this click here. We have compiled a list of each State’s website where you can access the information on obtaining the report, to access this click here.  We will NOT accept an MVR report from an Insurance Agency/Broker.               
-Copy of your driver’s license. This can be scanned and emailed or you can take a picture of the license, must be clear and legible.

Be sure whatever email address you sign up with, is the email address that you’ll access to obtain the links to the program.
Log into the USPilotCar training course at least 20-30 minutes prior to the start of the session. You should receive an email with instructions to access the online training within one business day of registration as well as 1 day prior to the training session.

Training Sessions:
-We will discuss the rules and regulations that pertain to Pilot/Escort and Flagging for Washington and address other State issues.
-There will be a total of  (5) exams given throughout the day with a total of 75 questions.  These exams will be completed on-line during the course.  Each exam will be graded and you will be provided with a score at the end of each exam. You will be required to obtain an accumulative score of 80% in order to obtain the Washington Pilot Escort Driver and Flagging Certifications.
-If you are more than 15 Minutes late to join a training session, you will not be allowed to attend this session and will need to contact the office to reschedule. It is recommended to login to the training 20-30 minutes prior to the start time. 

Completion:
-After a participant has completed the course, all of the documents will be compiled: Exams, MVR, Photos, Copies of Driver’s Licenses and Signature Forms, USPilotCar will then create the certification card, and utilizing the US Postal Service, send this document using standard mail service.
-If a person desires to have this certification sent via overnight shipping, additional fees will be assessed and must be paid before the shipment will be sent.  USPS, and FedEx are the carriers that USPilotCar utilizes for these types of shipments.
