Online Course – Utah

This course will be completed online in 1 day. There will be a 45 minute lunch break.

On-Line Live Interactive Classroom Training for the:
Utah Department of Transportation Pilot Escort Driver & Flagging Certification Program
 
Overview:
This is an on-line interactive live classroom training program which will address topics, discussions and testing that is required to obtain the Utah DOT Pilot Escort Driver and Flagging Certification.
This program will take approximately 9 hours to complete. The course will promptly begin at 8:00 A.M. CST and should be completed around 6:00 P.M. CST. An attendee must attend the entire course in order to obtain the Utah DOT Pilot Escort Driver and Flagging Certification. A participant will need either a computer with speakers, a webcam and a microphone, or an iPhone/iPad. The attendee will need an internet connection capable of streaming live video.  If a participant does not have a device that meets these requirements, they will not be allowed to attend this program. To use an iPhone or iPad you will need to download the “Zoom” app from the app store. Each attendee will need their own device, sharing a computer, smart phone or tablet will NOT be allowed. The required examinations will be conducted on-line as part of this interactive classroom, because of this, each attendee MUST have their own device. The instructor of the program must be able to see and speak to each participant that is attending this program utilizing a webcam and microphone. Certification is valid for a term of four years and can be renewed online for an additional four year period. (Training and fees will apply.)

Process:

• Complete the on-line registration and payment prior to a scheduled session. When this is received by USPilotCar we will then mail you the study materials that are required for you to have and use during this program. (You must have these books prior to the online course)
• Complete the signature form that will be included in your study materials. -This must be completed prior to the training session. It can be emailed or faxed to the office.
• Send a “passport type” photo. These photos can be obtained by going to the US Post Office, Walmart, Walgreens or other places that provide this service. If you prefer to take the photo yourself it must be from the shoulders up with plain background. Submit this electronically along with a clear copy of your driver’s license in the following format:
  • Upload the passport photo in full color JPEG format -(This is not a photo or copy of an actual passport, this needs to be a passport type photo. Please be sure to wear a shirt, and have the photo be acceptable for use on an ID)
  • Create an email with the subject as “Utah Online Training” Please include the session date in the subject as well.
  • Email copy of the passport photo as well as a full color copy of your driver’s license to: certification@uspilotcar.com
  • If preferred, you may mail these items directly to USPilotCar.
• Obtain a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the Driver’s License Division. Must be no older than 30 days when our office receives this. USPilotCar can obtain this report but additional documents and payments are required to be completed -Click here for more information.  We will not accept an MVR report from an Insurance Agency/Broker.
  • Fax, Email or Mail the MVR report to USPilotCar
• Email Address
  • Be sure whatever email address you sign up with, is the email address that you’ll access to obtain the links to the program.
• Log into the USPilotCar training location at least 20-30 minutes prior to the start of the session. You should receive an email with instructions to access the online training.
• You will receive an email with information to access the course 1 day prior to the training session.

Training Sessions:

• There will be a total of  (5) exams given with a total of 75 questions.  These exams will be completed on-line during the course.  Each exam will be graded and you will be provided with a score at the end of each exam.
• An accumulative Score of 80% is required in order to obtain the Utah DOT Pilot Escort Driver and Flagging Certifications.
  If you are more than 15 Minutes late to join a training session, you will not be allowed to attend this session and will need to contact the office to reschedule.

Completion:

• After a participant has completed the course, all of the documents will be compiled: Exams, MVR, Photos, Copies of Driver’s Licenses and Signature Forms.
• USPilotCar will then create the certification card, and utilizing the US Postal Service, send this document using standard mail service.
• If a person desires to have this certification sent via overnight shipping, additional fees will be assessed and must be paid before the shipment will be sent.  USPS, and FedEx are the carriers that USPilotCar utilizes for these types of shipments.
